The group offers monthly meetings with presentations and discussions on pertinent topics and an opportunity to give and receive support, to share resources and experiences. Participants are welcome and encouraged to take an active part in suggesting topics and ideas for future presentations and meetings. Call the Church Office for additional information.
If you are sick and shut-in at home or in a health care facility, our home visitors will visit you, bring Communion and/or provide for practical needs (transportation, etc.). Call the Church Office for details. Call the Church Office, before your hospitalization. Anointing of the Sick and Communion can be more easily arranged before hospitalization begins. If you or those you know from the parish are in the hospitial, you will need to notify the Pastor or Chaplain because The Sentara Hospitial system will no longer provide lists of patients by religious affiliation do to its strict interpretation of the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1993. Twice annually, Church of the Holy Family has seminars on the art of listening more effectively and pastorally to people concerning health care and family issues. The sessions are open to our parish home visitors and any interested parishioners. Call the Church Office for details. |
