membership in our church.

- Formation includes four areas:
doctrine:
what Catholics believe
prayer:
how we communicate with our God
liturgy:
how the community worships
apostolic
witness:how we live out what we believe
Catechumenate:
the process of formation leading to entrance into the Catholic Church
Sacraments
of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist
Catechumen:
an unbaptized person who seeks entrance into the Church
Candidate:
a person baptized in another Christian faith tradition who seeks membership
in the Church
- After the initial contact, you and a sponsor will meet with the group about once a week to share through Scripture and Tradition our beliefs. Open discussions center on the teachings of the church, the Sacraments, Spirituality, Social Teachings, Worship and the Bible. All questions and comments are encouraged!
