Justice & Peace
A Separate Peace
A Separate Peace is a support group
for divorced or separated Catholics who are searching for understanding,
validation, healing, and peace. The group offers monthly meetings
with presentations and discussions on pertinent topics and an opportunity
to give and receive support, to share resources and experiences.
Participants are welcome and encouraged to take an active part in suggesting
topics and ideas for future presentations and meetings. Call the
Church Office for additional information.

A Typical Meeting
Open Discussion
Small group; lively discussion |
Home Visitors
If you are sick and shut-in at home or
in a health care facility, our home visitors will visit you, bring
Communion and/or provide for practical needs (transportation, etc.).
Call the Church Office for details.
Anticipating a Stay in the Hospital?
Call the Church Office, before your hospitalization.
Anointing of the Sick and Communion can be more easily arranged before hospitalization
begins. If you or those you know from the parish are in the hospitial,
you will need to notify the Pastor or Chaplain because The Sentara Hospitial system will no longer provide lists of patients by religious affiliation do to its strict interpretation of the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1993.
Caring Conversation
Twice annually, Church of the Holy Family
has seminars on the art of listening more effectively and pastorally to
people concerning health care and family issues. The sessions are
open to our parish home visitors and any interested parishioners.
Call the Church Office for details.
