Altar Server
Altar servers are young people (nine years
old and up) who wish to serve at liturgy by assisting the presider.
They are trained and scheduled and asked to perform their role with sincere
devotion and respect, in the full spirit of the liturgy. Commitment
expect: Once every other month at liturgy of choice.

Bread Bakers
These are men and women who wish to serve
by baking bread to be used at the celebration of the Eucharist for a given
weekend. They use a recipe provided and approved by the Diocese and
do the baking in their own home. Commitment expected: annual workshop
and baking twice a year.

Bread and Cup Minister
The bread and cup minister is a person
who is willing to serve his or her community at the table of the Lord,
and in so doing, act as a witness of faith and hope in the love, power
and promise of the Holy Eucharist. Commitment expected: annual workshop;
service twice a month, at liturgy of choice. [ top

Greeters
Greeters are the welcoming committee of
the Church. Their primary responsibility is to make people feel welcome
and comfortable and to enhance each persons’s sense of belonging with a
warm and friendly greeting. Greeters will minister at the liturgy(s)
of their choice.

Laundry
Each laundry team is responsible for keeping
the linens and vestments for liturgy clean, in good repair and available
at all times. Commitment expected: every weekend for one month a
year.

Lector
The Lector is someone who has a love for
the Word of God and has the strong vocal and expressive capabilities to
proclaim that Word in a way that will minister to the listening assembly.
Commitment expected: annual workshop; lectoring once every six weeks, at
liturgy of choice.

Liturgy Committee
This committee is responsible for planning,
implementing and evaluating parish prayer and worship in accordance with
Diocesan policies. No experience is needed except a desire to help
plan worship and environment that will encourage full participation from
the assembly, and enhance their understanding and experience of God and
community. Commitment expected: one and a half hour monthly meetings. [ top

Art and Environment Committee
This is a standing sub-committee of the
Liturgy Committee. Members use their creativity and skills to implement
the different seasonal environments that the Liturgy Committee has planned.
Needed are designers, artists, carpenters, decorators, floral arrangers,
crafts persons and those who sew. Commitment expected: work on one
or more seasons, or a single project of choice.

Decor Helpers
These are people, male or female, from
12 years old and up, who are able to help put up and take down the seasonal
decor on specific dates of choice. Needed are handy and willing helpers.
Some need to be comfortable working on ladders.

Sacristans
The Sacristan serves by doing such tasks
as replacing hymnals in holders, and removing clutter from the commons,
worship space, chapel, and sacristy. Other duties include dusting
and checking linens and supplies. It is a team effort with on-the-job-training.
Commitment expected: two hours per month.

Ushers
Ushers serve by unobtrusively and hospitably
acting as “floor managers” for the “family” celebrations. They help
seat people, assist in the collections, choose those to bring down the
gifts, pass out bulletins, and help with other necessities. They
are scheduled for their liturgy of choice. Commitment expected: twice
